I have been creating original and unique bespoke sandblasted glass pieces in my studio near Epsom, Surrey, since 2009.

The design process always begins with my original hand drawn designs, which are then used to make a vinyl mask which is either cut by hand or a plotter, depending on the design.  This mask is the used to protect the clear parts of the design as it is sandblasted onto the glass; the process involves firing fine grit at the glass, abrading the surface to produce a design which can never wear or rub off.  With delicate skilled adjustments of the blasting pressure different depths and effects can be achieved.

I use top quality glass from LSA for my pieces, which is thick enough to permit intricately detailed designs.  If you don’t see the sort of piece you’re looking for on this site, let me know and I can nearly always source it, or if you have glassware to which you would like to have a design added I can work with that (provided it is sufficiently robust).

I love the process of working with my clients to ensure they get exactly the piece they want, so do get in touch with any specific requirements you have and I will produce exactly what you have in mind.  No work is ever contracted out: everything from design to finished piece is created in my studio, making it easy for me to customise any piece here to your exact requirements or to work with your ideas to create a brand new design for you from scratch.
